The DLSG division of Image Access is offering a number of Bookeye 2 units at substantial discounts.  The scanners have between 1,000 and 99,000 scans.  These Bookeye 2 scanners have a lifetime rating of 1,000,000 scans, although many units around the world have performed more than 2,000,000 scans.

The cabinets of the KIC systems being offered have small surface blemishes and/or paint that doesn't exactly match the paint color of the Bookeye 2 that sits next to them.

These specially priced systems include the latest versions of our software, with free updates for the subsequent twelve months.

Maintenance for the first year is an additional 10% and 15% each year thereafter.  It includes software updates and onsite/swap out repair service.  Systems are typically up and running one to three days after the initial report of a problem.

The DLSG will ship a new higher speed Bookeye 2 with 600dpi to the existing scanner user with new software that supports the new high speed and 600dpi modes. The new scanner will be swapped for the existing scanner and the existing scanner will be shipped to the disadvantaged institution in the crate that the new scanner arrived in.  The cost to ship the existing scanner to the less advantaged institution will be born by either the shipping or the receiving institution.  At the same time, DLSG will ship the selected software to the disadvantaged institution and in the case of KIC, DLSG also ship a KIC cabinet.  A remote installation and training will be performed for both institutions.
