Harvard College Library Installs First KIC System.

BOCA RATON, FL. October 10, 2005 -In order to provide on-demand digital access (self serve to their vast collections of books and periodicals) the Harvard College Library has recently installed its first KIC (Knowledge Imaging Center). Prior to seeing KIC they were searching for a quick walk up scanning digitization system for their students and faculty. The Harvard College Library had its first exposure to KIC at ALA in Boston, and that was followed up with numerous conversations and meetings to determine what specific features Harvard College Library needed in a system. The KIC System is currently in place at Widener Library, Harvard University's Flagship Library.
